5 Things We’re Loving on Pinterest: Home

Savvy home owners and apartment renters know: when it’s time to revamp, the first step is to pick up the October issue of Pulse. It’s our home issue. After you’ve scoured the pages and torn out your favorite ideas, the next step is to find some more on Pinterest. That’s what we did, anyway. Here are five ideas we picked just for you.

Love Your Living Room

The cozy throws, big flat-screened TV, vaulted ceiling and windows and doors that allow you to soak up the sun without leaving the couch…there’s really nothing not to love about this space found on AMi Designs’ Living Rooms board. Get more of the Huntington-based company’s tips on how to upgrade your home.

Bring the Beach to Your Bedroom

In our October issue, interior designer Patricia McGrath of Coastal Home in Bridgehampton provided tips for our readers on making your home modernist chic. We then spent a whole lot of time ooo-ing and ahh-ing at Coastal Home’s pretty Pinterest posts. The seashells in the Hamptons will soon be covered in snow, but you can still have a piece of the beach in your home by using clam & oyster stacking dishes to store jewelry and even light bites.

Fall Florals

Every Pinterest lover knows that mason jars can be used in about a gazillion different ways. Give your home some fall flavor with a mason jar bouquet arrangement by Marie Pierce from Imperial Florist/1-800-Flowers in Baldwin, one of five DIY Fall Decor project ideas we suggested in a recent story.

Store Your Wine Stylishly

For those of you who spent more weekends than you care to admit hitting the wineries out East this summer, put all the bottles you bought in a wine rack pinned by J Design Group. The brand, founded by Queens native Jennifer Corredor, has plenty of tips on how to design for small spaces.

Organize Your Closet

Spring cleaning may be months away, but we loved Who What Wear’s suggestions for a well-organized closet so much, we pinned it to our own Home + Decor board.
