The Brown Derby

Moonshine reigned supreme during the 1920s, and this Manhattan Moonshine recipe brings it back. Serve up a head-turning cocktail by master mixologist James Moreland and prepare for high-fives and fist pounds from your crew (and a hug, because every group has one of those).

The Brown Derby

Recipe by James Moreland, master mixologist at Manhattan Moonshine
Makes 1 serving


1.5oz Manhattan Moonshine
1oz fresh grapefruit juice
.5oz honey syrup or Agave
1 hoppy IPA
Grapefruit wedge of twist


Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice.

Shake hard, and strain into a cocktail glass.

Top off with your favorite hoppy IPA.

Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or twist.
