Where: Cedar Beach

Why Go: Plunge into the freezing waters of the Long Island Sound to help raise money for the athletes involved in the Special Olympics New York. Don’t forget to bring a towel and sweatshirt to wear afterwards. You’ll need them.  Go.

What: The I Love Chocolate Fest
Where: Old Bethpage Village Restoration
 Sunday, Nov. 22, 10am-5pm
Why Go: If you love chocolate treats, taste samples and buy your favorites. Local vineyards will provided wine tastings and Santa Claus will be visiting for a meet and greet. Check out the living history museum while you’re there and celebrate Thanksgiving the 1863 way. Go.
