What: Celebrating Chopin with Vassily Primakov
When: Dec. 20, 4pm
Why Go: Renowned Russian pianist Vassily Primakov returns to Ridotto with cellist Ben Capps. The duo performs Chopin’s “Cello Sonata Op.65” and the exquisite piano solo repertoire. An onstage interview with Primakov follows the concert. Go.
What: Wine & Gingerbread Nights

Why Go: Enroll in Gingerbread University to construct a candied home while sipping on Long Island wines. Go.
What: The Nutcracker Performed by Seiskaya Ballet
Where: Staller Center
When: Dec. 18-21
Why Go: A Long Island favorite for 20 years, the Seiskaya Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker is a lavish and moving rendition of the Christmas classic. Including sets from a Tony-award winning designer and detailed costumes inspired by 19th century Europe, the ballet’s true centerpiece is the dancing, crafted by Russian-born choreographer Valia Seiskaya. Tickets are $35. Go.
