The Stars Align

The National Board of Review Gala was held on January 5 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City to formally honor the film award winners that were announced on December 1, 2015. The annual gala was hosted by television personality Willie Geist, co-anchor of MSNBC’s Morning Joe and NBC’s Today’s Take. The event welcomed guests from the film community, including academics, directors, producers, actors, actresses, critics and cinema supporters. Both American and foreign films were recognized throughout the night, honoring Son of Saul for best foreign language film, Inside Out for best animated feature, Sylvester Stallone in Creed for best supporting actor and Matt Damon in The Martian for best actor.
