Yesterday, we focused on Rob Kardashian. Today, we focus on Kanye West (Kardashian). Why? In case you missed it, here’s a nice little breakdown of the recent Twitter battle between West and Wiz Khalifa. But the two rappers are certainly not the first celebrities to take to social media when arguing. Here are all the other feuds that took over all of our own social media feeds in the past few years:
Lady Gaga versus Perez Hilton
Back in 2013, Lady Gaga accused Perez Hilton of stalking her after he was seen in the lobby of her apartment building. Needless to say, Gaga’s Little Monsters came to her defense online.
Amber Rose versus Khloe Kardashian
As part of a much larger fight that seems to still be dominating headlines, Amber Rose called out Tyga for dating Kylie Jenner (“[he should be] ashamed of himself,” she said in a radio interview). Khloe Kardashian then came to her sister Jenner’s defense on Twitter.
Taylor Swift versus Nicki Minaj
When the video for her song “Anaconda” wasn’t nominated at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to note her disappointment at the fact that only videos that “celebrate women with very slim bodies” are appreciated. Taylor Swift took it personally and the fight ensued, ending with an apology by Swift herself: “I missed the point [of Minaj’s tweet].”
Giuliana Rancic versus Kelly Osbourne
Following the much-debated misunderstanding between Zendaya and Giuliana Rancic, the latter’s Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne took to Twitter to disassociate herself from the situation and announce her retirement from the show. Following Rancic’s comments on the Today show citing bad editing as the source of the mishap, Osbourne tweeted: “Liars ALWAYS get caught!”
Drake versus Meek Mill
Meek Mill took to the social media platform to complain about his being compared to Drake: “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!” The feud was born, tracks were leaked, memes were created and we’re still all talking about it.
Calvin Harris versus Zayn Malik
Defending his girlfriend Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris found himself in the middle of one of 2015’s most exciting Twitter fights. It all started when Zayn Malik retweeted a post that called Swift selfish compared to Miley Cyrus, who supports free music streaming. Harris’ retort? “fuck the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right?”
