Why Go: Join Jean Dodds, secretary of the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, for a hike through open-field trails behind the museum in honor of the snowy predictions from the Farmer’s Almanac history, what natives would call the Full Snow Moon. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Go.

Why Go: Enjoy classical ensemble-in-residence Trio Solisti, back for their 11th year with Maria Bachmann, Alexis Pia Gerlach and Adam Neiman. The performance includes Beethoven’s “Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor, Op. 1.,” Bernstein’s “Piano Trio” and Arensky’s “Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 32.” Go.

What: Long Beach Winter Farmer’s Market
Where: Long Beach Ice Arena
When: Saturday, Feb. 20, 9am–Noon
Why Go: Support local and regional agriculture by shopping for fresh, seasonal produce. Open every Saturday in February, the indoor heated arena will have certified organic vegetables, fruits, cheese, wine, soaps and more. Go.

What: Winemaker for a Day: VIP Blending Session
Where: Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard
When: Saturday, Feb. 20, Noon
Why Go: Be a winemaker for a day with this East End winery’s exclusive event where visitors get hands on. Anthony Sannino, owner and vintner, will lead a tour and tasting and advise in custom blending. Go.

What: Long Island Winterfest–Live On The Vine
When: Feb. 20-March 20
Why Go: Make way for this five-week wine, music and art festival on the East End with a total of 30 venues, 23 wineries and 90 events. A project of East End Arts, the activities will run weekends through March 20. Go.
Westhampton
What: CRESLI (The Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island) Seal Walks
Where: Cupsogue Beach County Park
When: Saturday, Feb. 20 at 10:30am, Sunday, Feb. 21 at 11:30am
Why Go: Layer up with warm clothing for a mile walk along the Westhampton beach to spot harbor seals. Bring your binoculars to see them up close-and-personal on the bunker and sandbars off the South Shore. Go.
