Pets & Vets 2016

Our third annual Pets and Vets section returns to help you find the care for the furrier (or more feathered or scaly) members of your family. Our main story, Horsing Around, looks at what it takes to keep the equine as a pet on Long Island. We checked in with horse lovers (and caretakers) of all stripes and found out that for them, the love of the animals trumps the day-to-day complications. Rounding out these pages is a go-to of the Island’s leading vets and pet stores. Next time Fido (or Bugs or Tweedy) need some treats or treatments, you’ll know who to call.
