VIDEO: Rescue Pets That Will Put a Spring in Your Step

Who needs a spring fling when you can find a new forever friend? For this month’s Pet of the Month, I popped into Southampton Animal Shelter and met some adorable animals who are ready to play, snuggle and give you lots of unconditional love.

Queenie is approaching her 1000th day at the Southampton Animal Shelter, meaning at 5 years old, she’s spent nearly two-thirds of her life there. Queenie gives you the best of both worlds: she’s playful but loves snuggling and taking naps. Though she’d prefer to rule the roost as the only dog in the home, she wouldn’t mind having a male dog who will treat her like the queen she is.

Nibbles is so smart and will entertain you and your friends for hours with all the commands she knows, like shaking hands and rolling over (especially if it’s for a belly rub). The boxer mix is a mellow girl who loves to dole out kisses.

Puppy alert! Adorable ten-week-old chihuahua-bulldog mixes are up for adoption after being rescued from a high-kill shelter in Georgia as part of Southampton Animal Shelter’s outreach program.

Mulcahy is looking for a lap to cuddle in after a tough couple months. He came to the shelter after his owner passed away and soon after, his best friend went to the rainbow bridge too. We’re hoping a new season brings new luck and a new home for this sweet older gentleman.
