Why Go: After a successful show last year, the expo returns to offer consumers and fanatics unique opportunities to see what is new and exciting in the guitar world. D’Addario & Company and Taylor Guitars will have giveaways and there will be an open mic and jam aftershow party at the Freeport Inn & Restaurant. Go.


What: Brit Floyd: Space & Time CONTINUUM World Tour 2016

When:  Sunday, April 24, 8pm
Why Go: Brit Floyd, “The World’s Great Pink Floyd Show,” is back again by popular demand. Enjoy hits like “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb,” as well as the opportunity for a VIP Meet and Greet Soundcheck Experience. Go.

What: VEEDA by Chef Kay Welcome to Spring Pop Up Vegan Dinner
Where: Toast & Co

Why Go: Chef Kay and her team have crafted a fabulous 5-course gastronomic dinner menu to delight your senses from first to last bite. Each course is 100 percent vegan, plant based, organic with gluten free options available. All of the produce is being supplied by local organic farms. Go.

Where: Planting Fields Arboretum
When:  Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24
Why Go: Celebrate Arbor Day the way it was meant to be at this Gold Coast arboretum. There will be live musical performances by Peat Moss and the Fertilizers and free self-guided tours of Coe Hall. The festival includes a petting zoo, face painting, caricaturists and tree plantings. Go.


What: Big Shot, Celebrating the music of Billy Joel
Where: Mulcahy’s
When:  Saturday, April 23 at 9pm
Why Go: It’s not the Piano Man himself, but it’s the next best thing. Mike DelGuidice and his band Big Shot travel the Island to woo fans with his classic voice and members of Joel’s own stage and studio band. Go.
