Hollywood on Long Island
Presented by Long Island University, Americana Manhasset and Poll Restaurants the evening will be reminiscent of the glamorous parties imagined in The Great Gatsby. Guests will gather under a 30,000-square-foot tent, on the landmark estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post and E.F. Hutton, sip on Moscow Mules from Stoli and brews from Oyster Bay Brewery, dine on luxurious small plates from Long Island restaurants and dance the night away.
Throughout the evening guests will live in the 1920s era at a speakeasy with gaming tables, a lounge showcasing silent films and a walk through beautiful gardens. The night ends with a fireworks spectacular by Grucci.
The proceeds from the first of what LIU hopes will become an annual event will benefit Gold Coast arts and culture organizations including the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, Gold Coast International Film Festival, Nassau County Museum of Art, Old Westbury Gardens and Sands Point Preserve Conservancy.
