Why Go: Art lovers and artists will celebrate creativity this Memorial Day weekend with the street painting tradition, founded in Riverhead inspired by Italian street chalk art dating back to the 16th century. Live music, gourmet food trucks, dancing, theatre and fine arts and crafts are all part of the festivities. Go.
Southampton
What: Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s “A Taste of Wine”
Where: Southampton Arts Center
When: Saturday, May 28, 5-8pm
Why Go: Sip wines from Palmer Vineyards, Vinkara Vineyards, Fiol Prosecco and Raphael Vineyards while you help homeless pets. Publick House Southampton will be manning a craft beer tasting station and Tate’s Bake Shop will be serving delicious desserts. Go.

What: Jones Beach Air Show
Where: Long Island Sports Park

Why Go: Grab the beach blankets, it’s airshow time! The U.S. Navy Blue Angels, along with the new F-35 Lightning II Stealth Fighter and others, will bring the thunder and awe this year. Refreshments and food vendors will be along the boardwalk throughout the day, perfect for midday snacking. Go.
Westhampton
What: Tracy Morgan: Picking Up The Pieces Tour
Where: Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center

Why Go: Back to WBPAC for the first time since his near fatal accident, expect 30 Rock comedian Tracy Morgan to bring the laughs with wisdom, absurdity and brutal honesty. Go.
