Long Beach
What: Barrier Beach Blues and Arts Festival

Why Go: Calling all blues enthusiasts! Listen to a lineup of soulful bands featuring Long Island’s distinguished “Ladies of the Blues.” A children’s tent filled with musical instrument arts and crafts activities is provided during the outdoor portion of the festival. Go.

Why Go: Escape the city’s hustle and bustle for a day of outdoor adventures without leaving Manhattan. Free events include yoga, rock climbing, biking and paddle boarding, to name a few. Go.
What: NYC Craft Beer Festival
Where: Lexington Avenue Armory
When: Friday, June 17 to Saturday, June 18
Why Go: 75 breweries serving 150 types of beer, cider and mead. Need we say more? Beer aficionados and novices alike are sure to enjoy a weekend of craft beer tasting and education. Go.
Nassau County
What: Path Through History Weekend
Where: Various locations
When: Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19
Why Go: Hosted by Nassau County executive Edward Mangano in conjunction with New York State, natives are invited to travel through the county’s history by visiting Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Tackapausha Museum and Preserve, Garvies Point Museum and Preserve, Falaise at Sands Point Reserve and Chelsea Mansion. Roslyn
What: Kenny Scharf Art Performance
Where: Nassau County Museum of Art
