Steak lovers have another reason to love Fridays this week. Del Frisco’s Grille, a favorite grill and bar of city dwellers, will open in Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Friday.
“Many guests who regularly dine at the Grille in New York City live on Long Island and we are excited to make the Grille experience more accessible to them while also introducing it to a new audience of potential guests looking for a great dining experience with a vibrant atmosphere,” said general manager Andrew Adamson.
Expect the same dishes you fell fork over spoon for in New York City, like the cheesesteak egg rolls. Sliced steak and cheese are stuffed into a wonton wrapper and topped with sweet and spicy chili sauce and honey mustard for a dish Adamson calls “truly addicting.”
Decadent brunch offerings, served Sundays from 11am to 3pm, like red velvet Belgian waffles with whipped vanilla bean-spiked cream cheese, will make ditching your lazy day goals totally worthwhile. The VIP cocktail, made with pineapple soaked in clementine vodka for two weeks, is a sweet way to start Saturday night.
Pull up a stool at the lively bar that extends through the restaurant and watch the bartenders shake up your cocktail, or slide into a comfy booth and order appetizers made for sharing with friends. Adamson hopes the inviting atmosphere and versatile menu entices Long Islanders to come for anything from a quick, casual lunch to a celebratory meal. Whenever you go, go hungry.
