Top-selling denim brand, NYDJ, will open the doors to its first independent storefront on July 21 in Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City. The 1,500-square-foot space will feature their signature denim and an extended collection in over 65 sizes for the everywoman, showing the brand is conscious of all females, Long Islanders included.
“NYDJ is not only a great fit for Long Island, but a great fit for all,” said general manager Susanne Maloney, who has been a member of the Roosevelt Field Mall team for more than 20 years. They have sizes ranging from 00 Petite to 24, allowing women to find exactly what they’re looking for in exactly their size. “[…] we have stylish, comfortable fashions for every Long Island woman.”
Shoppers can expect to find a whole new collection from the Los Angeles-based brand, including a selection of tops, dresses, jackets and denims of various fits, colors and styles available in petite, plus, tall and maternity sizes.
In addition to adding products to their shop, every pair of NYDJ pants and jeans have a feature exclusive to the NYDJ brand: Lift Tuck® Technology. This quality is added to each pair to contour curves and slim trouble spots.
“The technology works so well that you look, feel, and buy one size smaller,” said Maloney. She emphasizes that the, “goal is to have each woman leave with an extended knowledge of the brand and why it differs from others and if nothing else, that she looks and feels beautiful and special.”
The “look good, feel good” mentality carries over to the store’s design, as well. Manhattan-based firm Kramer Design Group partnered with the store to create a sophisticated shopping atmosphere for Roosevelt Field shoppers and NYDJ customers with neutral palettes, feminine fitting rooms and lavender and gray accents to give women an aesthetically pleasing environment to shop.
Besides the store’s design aesthetic, the mall has recently been renovated with a new luxury wing and an addition of multiple international and national brands. Maloney explained that these changes were attractive to the NYDJ team, who works to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for customers.
President & CEO of NYDJ, Lisa Collier, said in a press release that the “mission is to take the anxiety out of shopping for jeans by providing a beautiful and relaxing environment centered around service, styling and a phenomenal fit. We know that once she tries on the jeans and experiences NYDJ’s signature blend of fit, comfort and style, she’s hooked.”
