Where: Up the Hudson River to Bear Mountain State Park
What: Celebrate Oktoberfest a little differently this year with a river cruise up the Hudson. Take in New York’s skyline and indulge in traditional Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst and schnitzel while aboard the two-and-a-half hour cruise. Go. 

Watermark Oktoberfest

When: Sept. 17-18, Sept. 24-25 and Oct. 1-2, noon
Where: Watermark Bar, Pier 15
What: Grab a beer on the pier. This extravaganza will offer one-liter steins of Hofbrau, Weihenstephan and Radeberger and promises to help you escape to Germany. Go. 

Munich on the East River

When: Friday Sept. 23-Sunday Oct. 2
Where: Zum Schneider Oktoberfest Tent
What: Experience a old-fashioned Oktoberfest celebration under a traditional tent featuring an Oompah band stage, original Oktoberfest beers and foods and live music with special guests. Expect to see guests and staff dressed traditional Dirndl and Lederhosen at this day and evening event. Go.
