Ambiguous clouds painted a precarious forecast for the Adelphi University alumni Valerie Rodriquez and Leah Nicolich as they began sketching the sidewalk at the Garden City Campus, Wednesday, Sept. 28. Rodriquez and Nicolich were back on school grounds for Chalk Up!, an annual event that allows Adelphi University students, faculty and staff to transform the walkways of the campus with images and text in chalk. Chalk Up! serves as the kick off to Ephemeral, a day-long celebration of collaboration and creativity. This marked the third consecutive year Adelphi chose to recreate a Pulse cover. Watch the September 2016 issue come to life, while the rain held out in the video above.
