The leaves are falling on the ground and cool sounds abound! This month’s music picks celebrate the Americana Blues community on Long Island.

8th–Johnny Mac Band

Journey down to this legendary watering hole where Jack Kerouac was once one of the regulars. Enjoy an evening of earthy blues by this veteran combo, who just won the LI segment of the International Blues Challenge for the 2nd year in a row.

22nd–The Treutlein-Novak-Perricone-Leuci Band
Swing the Teapot, Floral Park

This extremely laid back venue is the perfect place to catch this Americana outfit as they run through a wide variety of music ranging from bluesy folk to genuine alt-country grooves along with some of that Van Morrison Belfast magic.

23rd–Toby Walker
Long Island Museum, Northport

Long Island’s premier roots music fingerstyle guitar virtuoso makes a special appearance as part of the popular Sunday Street Concert Series. Also on the bill is the father and son duo, Beaucoup Blue.

Johnny Pierre
