4 Adoptable Pets Looking for Forever Trick-or-Treat Buddies

Pumpkin spiced lattes are pretty sweet, but four lovable animals up for adoption at the Southampton Animal Shelter would make for the ultimate treats. Help these adorable pets find a forever home before the holidays.

Sugar is an 18-month lab mix with the most adorable trick up her sleeve: throw her a tennis ball (her favorite treat) and she’ll catch it. Like other labs, Sugar loves to swim and is already counting down until summer of 2017 so she can wade in kiddie pools every day. She gets along with other dogs and would do well with an active owner. Jogger Joes, Sugar just may be your gal.

Sheeba, a pit bull/lab mix, and Shiloh, a cockapoo, are going as the Odd Couple this Halloween. The two dogs are bonded and their tails don’t stop wagging when they are together (unless they are snuggling in their kennels). They’ll love you if you get them treats and a forever home.

Pumpkin the cat is hoping someone picks him before Halloween. The kitty has had a rough go this year. After coming to the shelter as a stray, the staff discovered he had an infection and a vet had to amputate part of his tail. The resilient little guy is now on the mend, loves to be brushed and is looking for the purrfect lap to snuggle in.

For more information, visit Southampton Animal Shelter at 102 Old Riverhead Road West or call 631-728-8582. The shelter will also host Little Lucy’s Halloween Party and Pet Parade Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1pm at 91 Jobs Lane, Southampton.
