In preparation for Island Tasting to benefit Island Harvest, Island Harvest president and CEO Randi Shubin Dresner will join Long Island Pulse Magazine for a Facebook Live chat Nov. 15 at 1pm. Dresner, who has served as Island Harvest president and CEO since 2001, will talk about the organization’s work, what makes Island Tasting a special event and the importance of giving back.
To join or hear the conversation, log onto facebook.com/li.pulse at 1pm. An archived video of the chat will be on Pulse’s feed following the interview.
More than 300,000 people turn to Island Harvest for hunger relief each year. The largest food bank on Long Island delivers millions of pounds of good, surplus food to a network of 570 Long Island-based food pantries, soup kitchens and other non-profit organizations that feed the hungry.
For the eighth year, Pulse will team up with dozens of Long Island’s top restaurants to aid Dresner and Island Harvest in their efforts. Proceeds from the event, which takes places Thursday, Nov. 17 at Coindre Hall, will go directly towards the non-profit.
Eat local, give local. Get tickets to Island Tasting.
