4th–John Theissen Children’s Foundation Annual Toy Drive
The Viking, Islip
Now in its 19th year, this annual toy drive to benefit sick children is an event heavily supported by the local music community. The scheduled local performers for this event include Andy Aledort, The Joe Vicino Band, Johnny Nieves, Frank Walker, Treutlein-Novak Band, The WellDiggers, Mark Newman Band, The Affordables, 42nd & Nelson, Pam Betti Band and Blue Roots.
9th–Gene Casey & The Lone Sharks
Giacomo Jack’s, Amityville
Giacomo Jack’s is a great reminder of just how laid back the bar scene on Long Island was back in the 70s and it’s the perfect place to catch this premier rockabilly combo. Gene and his merry band of down home rockers will make sure you get into the holiday groove!

This local singer-songwriter is definitely a talent to keep on your radar. She has a unique soulful vocal style that channels similar territory found in the music of Patty Griffin and Neko Case.
23rd–Kerry Kearney Band
The Mouse Trap Café, Amityville
Kearney, a legendary blues guitar player in these parts, delivers an evening of inspired roadhouse music in an intimate setting.
31st–Mambo Loco
Sunset Harbor, East Patchogue
Close out 2016 in high style at this raucous New Year’s Eve party featuring Mambo Loco, a Latin combo that always swings the good thing with their tasty Afro-Cuban vibe.
