Several spots are bringing a fun twist to the dining experience by featuring live music throughout the week. From casual to upscale, here are the spots that mix Long Island live music with appetites.

Cassariano Italian Eatery, Mineola

Chowing down on authentic Italian dishes at Cassariano is a good idea on any night. But it’s even better on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the live entertainment starts at 6:30pm. Jazz lovers, this New American eatery is the place to be. Since 1994, Grasso’s has been entertaining diners with a little bit of jazz. From young to older talent, the stage at Grasso’s is lit various days and times throughout the week. Go

Sip on local wine while listening to some local talent on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. The tapas at this Northport spot are just another plus. Go

Serving Italian staples and a new standout tasting menu, Verde treats music lovers to live saxophone every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 7-9:30pm. Live guitar infiltrates the room on what it considers date night on Thursdays from 6:30-9pm. Go

Shandon Court, East Islip

With owner Gerry Finlay being a professional musician, it only makes sense that Shandon Court would have live music (and guitars hanging on the wall!). Every Monday at 7pm local artists make their way to the Irish-American restaurant to jam on “Musician’s Night.” The live music also continues Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Go
