What: 2017 Bridgehampton Half-Marathon
Where: Beebe Windmill, Ocean Road
When: Saturday, April 29, 9am
Why Go: Run along the rural countryside of Bridgehampton to benefit the Bridgehampton Museum (or watch and cheer as someone else does it). All finishers will receive a medal, schwag bag and race t-shirt. Go

Why Go: Spring has sprung and baseball season has begun. Come out to see the Long Island Ducks play their first home game of the season. Go

Why Go: Celebrate the warmer weather with music, food, bouncy castle and petting zoo. Go


What: Rites of Spring Festival Opening Concert
Where: Castello di Borghese Vineyard, 17150 Middle Road
When: Sunday, April 30, 5-7pm
Why Go: Kick off the second edition of the music festival with a piano recital by Paolo Bartolani. North Fork Chocolate Company and Castello di Borghese Vineyard will be holding a reception after the concert. Go

What: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Where: Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC)
When: Friday, April 28, 7:30pm, Saturday, April 29, 2pm & 7:30pm, Sunday, April 30, 2pm
Why Go: Featuring the students of the Department of Theatre and directed by Brian Rose, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, William Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, portrays the adventures of four young lovers and a group of amateur actors, their interactions with woodland fairies and a duke and duchess. What: Adelphi Jazz Ensemble
Where: Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC)
When: Friday, April 28, 7:30pm
Why Go: The Adelphi Jazz Ensemble covers the spectrum from traditional to cutting-edge jazz. The ensemble often features original student compositions in addition to pieces by some of the greatest names in jazz. Go

What: Adelphi Chorale and Adelphi Vocal Ensemble Spring Concert
Where: Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC)
When: Sunday, April 30, 4pm
Why Go: Join the Adelphi Chorale and Adelphi Vocal Ensemble as they present works celebrating the joys of the spring season through their varied a cappella and accompanied choral repertoire. Go

What: Arbor Day Family Festival

Why Go: Bring the family for a weekend of fun-filled activities like face painting, caricaturists and a petting zoo. The festival is designed to educate guests about how to protect the environment. Go


What: Long Island Cares Fundraiser
Where: The Emporium, 9 Railroad Ave.
When: Sunday, April 30, 1pm
Why Go: Listen to live music by Dear Prudence Band, Amber Ferrari of Joplin’s Pearl and Street Fighter. The concert proceeds benefit Long Island Cares and the The Scott Martella Scholastic Fund. Go


What: Sayville Springfest 2017
Where: Gillette Park, between Gillette and Candy Ave.
When: Saturday, April 29, 11am-4pm
Why Go: Indulge in your favorite fair foods such as zeppoles, fried Oreos and hot dogs from local vendors. There will be face painting, a magician, juggler and Spiderman. Go

What: 9th Annual Sounds of Silence 5K Run
Where: Jones Beach State Park, Ocean Parkway – Field 5
When: Saturday, April 29, 9:30am
Why Go: Help raise awareness for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders by strolling around the Jones Beach Boardwalk. Proceeds benefit the Postpartum Resource Center of New York. Go
