Why Go: This street fair, the first street fair hosted by the Village of East Hampton in more than 300 years, is perfect for families. There will be more than 75 booths, live music all day and a KIDZONE featuring a bouncy castle and face painting. Go.

What: Rescue Runway Fashion Show
Where: Ferrari-Maserati of Long Island (65 South Service Road)
When: Thursday, May 18, 6:30-9pm
Why Go: Everything is better with dogs–fashion shows included! Bring your furry friend to watch the Little Shelter’s finest strut (and chase) their tails off. Go.

Flanders

What: FNRCA’s Food Truck Festival
Where: 46 Bell Ave.
When: Friday, May 19, 5-10pm; Saturday, May 20, 11am-10pm; Sunday, May 21 (11am-7pm)
Why Go: Sample food from some of Long Island’s favorite four-wheel restaurants, including Blondie’s Bake Shop (the dessert truck will be there Sunday). Go.

Montauk

What: 8th Annual Montauk Music Festival
Where: Montauk Village Green
When: Thursday, May 18 through Sunday, May 21

What: Fiesta Dance Party
Where: Southampton Cultural Center
When: Friday, May 19, 8pm-12am
Why Go: Dance your way into the weekend! Relieve some of your workweek stress and spend the evening learning the salsa, cha cha, merengue and more! Go.

Manhattan

What: 10th Annual Taste of the Upper West Side
Where: O’Shea Complex Schoolyard, New York City
When: Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20
Why Go: Fill your belly while beautifying the city. The event, hosted by celebrity chefs and TV hosts including Alex Guarnaschelli (Chopped) and Adam Richman (Man v. Food), allows guests to taste food from world-renowned cooks and restaurants of the Upper West Side. All nets proceeds will be donated to the local community. Go.

East Farmingdale

What: Jazz & Blues Dinner Show
Where: Theater 294
When: Saturday, May 20, 6-11pm
Why Go: Dinner and a show is a classic combination that never gets old. Offering live jazz performances and an Italian dinner courtesy of Bellagios, you’ll leave feeling anything but the blues. Go.

Peconic

What: 1st Annual North Fork Dog Dock Diving Festival
Where: Greenport Harbor Brewery
When: Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21
Why Go: Make a splash this weekend and watch the cutest diving competition you will ever see. Whether your pup is daring enough to dive or would rather sit, stay and spectate, bring your leashed companion and help benefit three local organizations. Although they may land on their bellies, this event is sure to not be a flop. Go.

Old Bethpage

What: Old Time Base Ball
Where: Old Bethpage Village Restoration
When: Sunday, May 21, 11am-3pm
Why Go: One, two, three strikes you’re out at the old “base ball” game (as it was spelled back in the day). Watch or play the sport the way it was played in the 1800s, complete with the traditional 19th-century rules and old-style bats and balls. Go.

Babylon

What: Bayfest ’17
Where: Tres Palms
When: Saturday, May 21, 2-7pm
Why Go: The Great South Bay is a staple of Long Island, but it needs its residents’ help! Enjoy live music, raffles, food and more while aiding to raise money and awareness Save The Great South Bay and Surfrider. Adults can unwind with Blue Point Brewery’s newest IPL, “Drink The Bay Clean,” Long Island’s summer beer to support the bay. Go.
