Spend the Dog Days of Summer with a New Pup

Memorial Day Weekend is around the corner, which means summer is about to officially commence: beach barbecues, walks in the park and a whirl of dog days. North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington has three adorable pups ready to partake in endless summer fun with their new families.

Age: 6 months
Gender: Male
Breed: Cattle Dog mix
Eli is a social butterfly. He loves playing with other dogs and would do best in a home with an active lifestyle as cattle dogs love taking part in outdoor activities. He is also extremely loyal and never fails to deliver admiration and attention towards his owners.

Cocoa Bean

Age: 1-3 years
Gender: Female
Breed: Border Collie and Cattle Dog mix
Cocoa Bean is a fun-loving older puppy. As a border collie and cattle dog mix who is very active, she would be a great student for someone who has had previous dog experience. She loves mingling with other dogs, so much so that she actually needs to go home to a permanent doggy roommate.

Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Breed: Husky, Australian Shepard and Great Pyrenees mix
Despite Keno’s large size, he is still very shy. He needs to be in a low-traffic household as it takes him a little bit longer to get used to new faces. But once he does, the Great Pyrenees in him exudes nothing but unconditional love.
