What: The Boys of Broadway – A Benefit for Center Stage

Why Go: Sing along to Broadway classics to benefit Center Stage. Led by Darren Ottati, a quintet of baritones, tenors and basses will perform Broadway’s most popular male musical numbers from shows such as “Damn Yankees,” “West Side Story,” “Les Miserables” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Go



What: 5th Annual Music Fair
Where: The Children’s Museum of the East End
When: Saturday, June 17, 10am-12pm
Why Go: Start the summer on a high note at the Children’s Museum of the East End. The free, family-friendly event will be interactive, educational and fun, featuring live performances from local musicians and the opportunity for kids to learn about and play instruments. Go


What: A Night In Havana: All Against Abuse Gala
Where: Ross Lower School Field House
When: Saturday, June 17, 6:30-10:30pm
Why Go: Break out your festive wear and escape to the Caribbean without leaving the Island. This gala will feature live salsa music and Cuban ballad accompanied by a Cuban-inspired menu by Art of Eating. Win a real getaway at the charity auction featuring prizes such as a trips to Costa Rica and Las Vegas. It’s all for an important cause: All Against Abuse, whose mission is to provide safety and support to survivors of domestic abuse. Go


Shelter Island

What: 38th Annual Shelter Island Run 10K/5K Run/Walk
Where: Shelter Island High School
When: Saturday, June 17, 5:30pm
Why Go: Run away from your weekday responsibilities. Named one of the most scenic courses by Runner’s World Magazine, the striking race will benefit East End charities. This year, run alongside (or miles behind) a former Olympian, New York City Marathon winners and Boston Marathon winners. Go


East Hampton

What: Cocktails At Hook Pond
Where: Fuhrman Home
When: Saturday, June 17, 6-8pm
Why Go: Overlook the beautiful Hook Pond from one of the home’s expansive porches while sipping on a cool cocktail. Join the East Hampton Historical Society for a night of luxury and comfort complete with fireworks. Go



What: 63rd Annual Strawberry Festival
Where: 1175 Route 48
When: Thursday, June 15–Sunday, June 18, all day
Why Go: Kick off strawberry season in the sweetest way possible. Benefitting the Mattituck Lions community service efforts, spend your weekend sampling the very best strawberry dishes, enjoying live music and braving the midway rides. A new Strawberry Queen will be crowned before the festival closes with a sky of fireworks. Go



What: 31st Annual Shark Tournament
Where: Star Island Yacht Club and Marina
When: Thursday, June 15–Saturday, June 18, all day
Why Go: Shark Week(end) comes early this summer at the 31st Annual Shark Tournament. Watch real-life sharks weigh in or fish for them yourself. No boat? No problem!
