5 Super Saturday 2017 Trends to Rock

OCRFA Super Saturday 2017, the summer’s most upscale garage sale, returned for its 20th year Saturday. Hosts Kelly Ripa, Donna Karan, Gabby Karan de Felice, Molly Sims and Rachel Zoe were among the big names that came out for an afternoon of fashion, fun and flower crowns to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance. During my time on the red carpet and scouring the big, white tent full of discounted designer duds, I noticed five major trends Pulse readers can rock now or later.

Floral prints

Nothing says summer like flowers in full bloom. At Super Saturday, attendees donned a custom-made flower crown (yes, these are still in) from B Floral, including celebrity sportscaster Jill Martin. Not only were florals used as an accessory, but they were also used as the main event. Floral prints could be found everywhere, including at designer Yumi Kim’s booth, which featured light and airy dresses perfect for hot, summer days. Come fall, throw on a cute cardi and boots. Click to shop

Statement jewels

Co-host Rachel Zoe paired a long, shimmery black dress and jacket with a pair of bold, gold earrings. And co-host Donna Karan brought together her brown jumpsuit with a large, prominent, black necklace. Statement jewels were a theme under the big white tent, too, as designers such as Calleen Cordero showcased handmade bracelets and belts that can transform any outfit. This fall, pair a statement necklace or earrings with a large, chunky sweater–a look Zoe said will be a trend in the coming months. Click to shop

Winter clothes tend to be dark but summer is the perfect time to bring out those bright and vibrant prints and patterns. It’s such a popular look that even former mayor Rudy Giuliani and his wife could be seen rocking it. Designer Shahida Parides’ booth featured light maxi dresses with saturated colors perfect for a summer waterfront dinner. What’s more, you can bring this trend with you into the fall and winter months to add some life to your wardrobe. Just throw on a blazer and neutral scarf for balance and warmth. Click to shop
