9th–Mike Meehan & The Lucky Ones
House of Brews, Port Jefferson

Some might remember Mike Meehan from his tenure in The Last Hombres, a roots rock combo that included the late great Levon Helm. The veteran player from the local music scene is now touring in support of his latest release, Better Angels. Also on the bill are The WellDiggers and Bill Shuren.

16th–Chrissie O’Dell & Friends
Harborfront Park, Port Jefferson

Chrissie O’Dell can be considered one of the most renowned blues vocalist on Long Island. Her voice has an earthy quality that always brings a depth of emotion to her performance. Don’t miss this rare appearance where she’ll be joined by a cast of great local blues players including Grammy nominated drummer Mark Carpentieri.

19th–The Long Island Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival
Tanner Park, Copiague

This annual festival of fingerpicking virtuosos that takes place among the tranquil confines of Tanner Park starts at noon and runs till 7pm. The featured artists include the Molly Tuttle Band and Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice. Don’t forget to bring your corn cob pipe!

Summer Concerts On the Green, Montauk

This alt-rock folk trio delivers an evening of original music as part of Montauk’s popular Concerts on the Green music series. Nina, the band’s lead vocalist, possesses a powerful old-time jazz voice that provides a lot of nuance to the group’s material.
