What: Sands Point Preserve Conservancy 2nd Annual White Party
Where: Sands Point Preserve Hempstead House (127 Middle Neck Rd.)
When: Thursday, Aug. 3, 710pm
Why Go: Support the conservancy in their mission to further STEAM-based nature programs for adults and children, after-school opportunities and a new equestrian program. The event offers a “farm-to-table” themed dinner, an outdoor DJ and tours of the Hempstead House, which inspired The Great Gatsby. Click to go

Where: Sands Point Preserve (127 Middle Neck Rd.)
When: Sunday, Aug. 6, 8:30am
Why Go: Enjoy the scenic views Sands Point Preserve has to offer while competing in their annual 5k race. Runners will receive T-shirts, refreshments and a chance to win raffle prizes. Top finishers receive awards. Click to go

Where: Downtown Sayville Main Street, Gillette Park & The Common Ground
When: Friday, Aug. 4–Sunday, Aug. 6
