August days were meant to be spent at Long Island beaches. Turns out, a pair of shark pups agree. Juvenile male shark pups Mission and Gurney pinged off the coast of Long Island Sunday, miles from East Hampton and Montauk, according to science and tracking organization Ocearch.

No word on where they’re heading, but it’s likely not to Gurney’s. Only six people per year die of a shark attack, compared to as many as 100 million sharks killed by humans each year, said International Shark Attack File, a database maintained by the Museum of Natural History.
