New Originals: Dark & Erased

Dark, Netflilx’s first big German series, is a thriller reminiscent of season 1 of Stranger Things. It centers around a missing child and the search to find the truth about what happened to him. Drops Dec. 1

Erased falls into the live-action anime genre like Death Note, another Netflix original. In this one, the main character Satoru Fujinuma time travels to stop a life-threatening event. Drops Dec. 15

Returning Favorites: The Crown & The Ranch

The critically acclaimed biographical drama The Crown returns for season 2. The series has been renewed for four seasons, but this is Claire Foy’s last season in the role of Her Majesty the Queen. The monarchy must confront its past in order to move forward. Drops Dec. 8

Get ready to see That ’70s Show co-stars back together again. The Ranch, the third most binge-raced show in the U.S., follows Colt (Ashton Kutcher), Rooster (Danny Masterson) and their family as they deal with baby mama drama and divorce all while running the ranch. Each season is released in two parts giving it a different release schedule than most Netflix originals. Part 4, or season 2b, arrives mid-month. Drops Dec. 15

Keeping It Real: Easy & Wormwood

Easy, a fictional anthology series created by Joe Swanberg, focuses on all things related to love and sex. Season 1 featured big names like Orlando Bloom, Malin Akerman, Dave Franco and Elizabeth Reaser. Drops Dec. 1

Wormwood is a documentary fiction combo about a man’s 60-year quest for answers about his father’s death. In the process he unearths some deep, dark secrets about the CIA, mind control and LSD experiments. Drops Dec. 15

Movie Night: Bright: The Album

Netflix likes to bring out big names for its movies. This month’s film, Bright: The Album, stars Will Smith. It’s a fantasy that confronts the struggles that arise when humans, orcs and elves attempt to live together. Drops Dec. 22
