Go red
Synonymous with the holiday season, the color red is an obvious choice to incorporate into your outfit. And a red dress isn’t the only way to slay the bold color. “A red shoe is a punctuation to any outfit and is a must for the holidays,” said Lombardo. Another way to steal the show is with a red bag. Whether a red clutch or larger structured bag, all eyes will shift to the daring accessory in your hand.

“If you’re going to get one thing for holiday dressing, a red shoe is my recommendation. And
these shoes from Valentino are a statement maker.”

“This structured bag from LZL is my newfound love. It’s a standout!”
Add a bow
Like the color red, bows are everywhere during this season. A strategically placed bow detail adds a festive touch to any holiday outfit. Opt for one on a dress (red is even better!) like this one from Gucci, which features it at the waist. This dress screams “school girl gone chic” in all the right ways.

“I love the prim red bow which makes it all the more relevant for the holidays. And it works for any time of year.”
Touch of sparkle
The holidays are a magical time meaning anything sparkly is totally acceptable. Choose garments or accessories that have just the right amount of shine. It can be a small handbag similar to this classic Chanel minaudière or a metallic top paired with a purple satin trouser.

“This Chanel minaudière is a real splurge (at Bergdorf Goodman). What I love about it is that it’s a forever piece which will never go out of style and Chanel really holds its value ($12,000). It’s part jewelry, part evening bag—perfect to take out for the holidays.”

“This one shoulder metallic [Maje] top with a purple satin trouser is perfect for a New Year’s Eve party with friends. It has that hit of sparkle but it’s still cool and relaxed.”
Big on jewelry
Accessories can make or break an outfit. Just like the rest of your ensemble during the holidays, the jewelry you rock needs to make a statement. Forget studs for a day and opt for drop earrings. Let your fingers standout just as much.

“These Bulgari drop earrings are really special and great to bring out for the holidays.”

“Adding multiple rings—one for every finger—is having a moment. Add a ruby red ring from Temple St. Clair to your already adorned fingers. Just keep adding them. More is more.”
