Where: American Legion Hall (1 Mill Dam Road)
When: April 14, 6pm-12am
Why Go: Grab some friends and head out to the American Legion Hall for a lively evening. Expect live music by local musicians and a “young artists hour” where younger talent will showcase their music. One of the performers will also play a set of 60s and 70s music, including songs from The Pretenders and Fleetwood Mac. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. Click to go

What: Project Pet at Pinot’s Palette
Where: Pinot’s Palette (61 West Main Street)
When: April 14, 7-10pm
Why Go: Calling all pet parents! Come out to Pinot’s Palette to paint a picture of your pet. Once you sign up, simply email a high-quality digital photo of your pet to Pinot’s Palette. Your photo will then be transferred onto a canvas and talented artists will walk you through each step to create your very own pet portrait. Where: Union Square (East 17th Street and Park Avenue)
When: April 15, 12-7pm
Why Go: Celebrate Earth Day in NYC with this annual family-friendly event. There will be dozens of exhibitors, interactive displays, a green-vehicle show, family activities and music. Also, visitors can switch to clean energy by bringing a utility bill. Click to go

What: Comedy Night at The Pine Grove Inn
Where: Pine Grove Inn (11th Street)
When: April 15, 5pm

What: A-Team Elite Rescue Dogs 2nd Annual Benefit Concert
Where: The Half Moon Bar & Grill (22 East Park Avenue)
When: April 15, 12-7pm
Why Go: Come support A-Team Elite Rescue dogs, a Long Island-based rescue dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and re-homing German Shepherds from some of the worst high-kill shelters in the country. The second annual benefit concert will feature music, a raffle and Chinese auction.
