Melville residents are in for a treat with the arrival of the HomeGoods that opened over the weekend. The 21,180-square-foot store—the 70th New York location—is stocked with the variety of discounted home decor that’s helped HomeGoods gain a cult following. Think furniture, rugs, lighting, bedding, artwork and gourmet kitchen and dining items. There’s a kids and pets section to boot. And don’t expect to keep seeing the same items on the racks.

“Our Melville location will offer new and on-trend merchandise weekly so customers will have to keep checking back for what’s in store,” said Lisa Zahn, HomeGoods public relations manager.

With the warm weather settling in, those looking to spice up their patio are in luck. “We are especially excited for our outdoor furniture and outdoor entertaining offerings this summer,” Zahn said. Shop comfy seating and trendy tables or stack up on hosting necessities—it’s almost barbecue season after all.

The Melville location marks the 14th HomeGoods to open on Long Island. (There are more than 650 around the country.) “Melville offered the ability to add a new location to the New York market and offer more local communities the latest home trends at a great value,” Zahn added.

HomeGoods in Melville is located at 881A Walt Whitman Rd. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 9:30am to 9:30pm and Sunday 11am to 8pm.
