What: The Lower East Side Festival of the Arts
Where: 155 First Avenue (between 9th and 10th Streets)
When: Friday, May 25-Sunday, May 27, 6pm-1am
Why Go: Head downtown to take in the arts. The Theater for the New City is back with this art extravaganza for the 23rd year in a row. Enjoy tons of different performances in dance, theater, poetry, film, music and visual art from a slew of artists. The event is free. Click to go


What: 10th Annual Montauk Memorial Day Weekend Show on the Green
Where: Montauk Village Green (745 Montauk Highway)
When: Friday, May 25-Sunday, May 27, 10am-6pm
Why Go: Presented by the Montauk Artists’ Association, this artistic event is taking over downtown Montauk for the 10th year. Enjoy the outdoor gallery featuring paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photography, glass and ceramics and woodworking. It’s also free. Click to go


What: Troll Dance Party
Where: Hagerman Fire Department (510 Oakdale Avenue)
When: Sunday, May 27, 12-2pm
Why Go: Dance for a good cause. Angels of Long Island, a nonprofit that provides supplemental support to Long Islanders and working families going through hardships, is hosting this family-friendly party with a DJ, Chinese auction and light fare. Click to go
