Aztec Two-Step performs The Simon & Garfunkel Songbook: An Evening of Songs & Stories with special guest narrator – Long Island Music Hall of Fame Archivist Tony Traguardo

37 West Main Street

Often reviewed as having the “intellectual lyricism” and “ethereal harmonies” of Simon and Garfunkel, after decades of possessing a rich musical legacy of their own, it made sense that critically acclaimed Aztec Two-Step would also choose to interpret and perform the timeless songs and harmonies of their iconic predecessors and create this engaging evening of songs and stories. The evening will be filled with the beautifully interpreted songs – Aztec Two-Step style – as well as fascinating stories and their usual light-hearted on-stage banter.

Originally narrated by the late legendary rock historian and WNEW & WFUV DJ Pete Fornatale, the baton of the show’s “storyteller” has now been passed to mutual friend and protégé Tony Traguardo. Tony, with his own flair and sense of humor, shares the Simon & Garfunkel musical history and anecdotes based on Pete’s original “script” of his many years of friendship and interviews with Paul & Art, and his publication “Simon & Garfunkel’s Bookends.”
