Legendary guitarist Steve Katz, a co-founder of the groundbreaking and hugely popular jazz-rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears, will be discussing his new book, “Blood, Sweat & My Rock & Roll Years: Is Steve Katz a Rock Star?,” on April 21, 2017, at Temple Israel of Lawrence, 140 Central Avenue, Lawrence, N.Y.
Katz, a pioneer of the blues-rock genre with his early ’60’s band, The Blues Project; a founder in the late ’60’s of the jazz-rock big band Blood, Sweat & Tears; and the producer of Lou Reed’s live LP ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Animal’ and its follow-up ‘Sally Can’t Dance,” Reed’s only top-10 album.
