Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival at the Parrish – “Deep Rivers”

279 Montauk Highway
Water Mill, New York 11976

An additional performance added by popular demand! Spirituals, Gershwin’s popular Preludes, Aaron Copland’s wry take on the American Songbook, Bernstein’s jazzy sonata, as well as a Northeast premiere of “Deep Rivers” by Mohammed Fairouz, a poignant work reflecting on the 50th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery Voting Rights marches featuring baritone Sidney Outlaw, all come together in a one-hour program that explores history through sound, expressing the brash originality and unique story of America. Arrive early and explore the Parrish Art Museum, and stay for a 5:45 with composer Mohammed Fairouz.
