Inspiration can come from both joy and sorrow. On this program, we have a bit of both. Brahms’ unforgettable horn trio was written shortly after the death of his mother for the three instruments he had learned to play as a child. Eric Ewazen’s inspiration for his Fantasie was none other than his friend and BCMF Artistic Director, Marya Martin. Both works come together on a program of inspired beauty.
