Eastern Europe meets Midtown West at Russian Samovar, which has been serving authentic Russian cuisine for more than 30 years. A favorite spot for native Russian artists, musicians, and entertainers and located in close proximity to some of the city’s most in-demand plays and musicals, Russian Samovar is the perfect spot for locals and out-of-town guests alike.

The restaurant will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, serving signa-ture dishes such as Kulybiaka (traditional pate gonflee pastry with salmon, fresh herbs, and gar-den vegetable stuffing); The Right Borscht (beef and cabbage soup with potatoes and vegeta-bles served with sour cream and a meat pirozhok); Roasted Duck (Long Island duck breast pan seared with braeburn apple and cherry); Beef Stroganoff (beef tenderloin, sautéed mushrooms, and spring onions served with a cream sauce and a choice of egg noodle, mashed potatoes, or buckwheat); as well as a selection of caviars and traditional desserts.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve Slavic style at the restaurant’s celebration, which will feature a seven course meal and two different shows, as well as dancing, a DJ, and unlimited liquor until 4:00AM. For New Year’s Day, the restaurant will serve from its a la carte menu.
