— Central Veterinary Associates — along with the Bayside Animal Clinic, the Boulevard Animal Clinic in Forest Hills, and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation — is offering a low-cost microchip clinic at the annual “Pets & Pals Party” that will take place at Alley Pond Park on May 4 from noon to 3 p.m. The park is located at 76th Avenue (off Springfield Boulevard) in Douglaston, Queens.
For a $25 donation, the veterinarians from Central Veterinary Associates, Bayside Animal Clinic, and Boulevard Animal Clinic will protect your pet with a Home Again microchip. For an additional $18, your pet will be registered onsite for life. All donations will go to benefit the Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC), the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team (NYCVERT), and Bobbi and the Strays, a not-for-profit no-kill shelter based in Glendale, Queens.
In addition to the clinic, there will be raffle prizes, rides, games, arts and crafts, giveaways, animal demonstrations, pet adoptions, and more. Proceeds from the raffle sales will also go to benefit APEC, NYC VERT and Bobbi and the Strays. “Pets and Pals” is presented by Northeast Queens Park Administrators.
