New work by Charles Ly is on view in the Guild Hall Education Corridor. Ly’s artwork combines the centuries-old tradition of design patterns based on natural forms with surrealist, imaginative compositions created with a meticulous, intricate drawing and painting technique. Ly grew up in East Hampton and studied graphic design and illustration at Laguna College of Art & Design. He has exhibited locally at Neoteric Fine Art in Amagansett, Silas Marder Gallery in Bridgehampton, Sara Nightingale Gallery in Water Mill, Mosquito Hawk Gallery on Shelter Island, and at Greenport Art & Design.
