The Eighth Annual Westhampton Beach Earth Day Celebration is Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 11am – 3pm at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, located at 3 Old Country Rd. in Quogue, NY 11959. This year EcoFriends has partnered with the Quogue Wildlife Refuge & Eastern Long Island Audubon Society to bring the community an even bigger better family friendly day involving ecofriendly activities, fun educational programs, and opportunities to enjoy nature and preserve nature…and it is FREE!

The annual event will include guided Birding Walks by the Eastern Long Island Audubon Society, live animal presentations and encounters, up-cycling crafts, exhibits of environmentally friendly products for home, garden and personal care, bat-house building, face painting, live music, yoga, self-guided kayaking and canoeing on Old Ice Pond and so much more.

Expanding on last year’s success with recycling opportunities, this year ecoTech Management will again is on hand to collect all E-waste items again. “Gather up all those old computers, faxes, phones, small appliances, cell phone, tablets, gaming devices, TV’s radios, anything that plugs in or runs on battery. Special pickups can be arranged if your home or business has too much to bring to us…we will come to you. Remember it is now the law, you cannot dispose of your Ewaste at the dump,” reminds Beth Ann Felshman, one of the Earth Day organizers. “Here is a free and legal way for you to dispose of these items and help our Earth Day Celebrations as well.” Additional recycling and repurposing opportunities have been added this year.
