Optimum and Discovery Communications are bringing SHARK WEEK to the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center for a day of family activities to celebrate the kickoff of Discovery’s highly anticipated, 27th annual SHARK WEEK.

The Aquarium will be transformed into a shark-themed oasis featuring a presentation, Q&A and autograph session with SHARK WEEK on-air personality and shark expert Andy Casagrande, a sneak peek at SHARK WEEK’s Great White Matrix, a kid’s area with face painting, a scavenger hunt and goody bags, coloring activity sheets, photo opportunities with SHARK WEEK’s Chompie Jr, fin hat giveaways and more. Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter will also join in the celebration.

In honor of SHARK WEEK’s 27th anniversary, the first 27 Optimum Rewards members to arrive and show their Optimum Rewards Card will receive free family admission for families of five and less. All other Optimum Reward members are encouraged to bring their membership card for 30% off aquarium admission.
