Connecting Americans to their Irish heritage, he discusses An Gorta Mor (the Great Hunger 1845-1852 also known as the potato famine). He will discuss the time spent with family and friends before departure (referred to as the American wake); the time spent crossing the Atlantic on unsafe ships, life in the big city and their rise in America.
