The Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) and the Village of Great Neck Plaza hosts the third Promenade Night of the season on Thursday, July 16. Taking place on Bond Street from 6:30 p.m. -10:30 p.m., all residents from Great Neck and the surrounding communities are encouraged to attend to enjoy live entertainment and al fresco dining at Great Neck’s finest restaurants.
“We invite residents from all over Long Island and the surrounding areas to attend our summer promenade nights to enjoy the cuisine and atmosphere that the Plaza has to offer,” said Ron Edelson, Great Neck Plaza BID Executive Director. “The Promenade series has always served as a great way to bring community members together, and we hope to continue to do that again this season.”
Each participating restaurant including Bee Organic, Era, La Rotonda, Elaine’s Asian Bistro and the Great Neck Diner will be offering prix fixe menus or discounted dishes. In addition, Akbar the caricaturist will be returning, offering promenade guests free caricatures on a first-come, first-served basis.
Savannah Sky, focusing on traditional country, western swing, and rockabilly music, will be performing live. Band members include Nina Gordon on vocals and acoustic guitar; Skip Krevens on vocals, electric guitar and pedal steel; Pete Falbo on vocals and bass; and Billy Lang on vocals and percussion. Savannah Sky, named after Nina Gordon’s two daughters Savannah and Sky, has been delighting audiences throughout the tri-state area for more than twenty years. Savannah Sky has a repertoire that includes songs from diverse genres such as rock, blues, jazz, folk and bluegrass, with a generous helping of rockabilly and western swing in the mix. Their vivacious stage presence over the years has resulted in a unique and exciting show, combining talent and highly professional entertainment.
