About the Instructor: Andres’ dance career started purely recreational, but upon taking his first classes he very quickly developed a strong passion for dance that motivated him to approach it more seriously. He began taking classes, workshops and training with some of the top instructors in the salsa scene including, Yamulee, Santo Rico, Baila Society, Eddie Torres, Adolfo Indacochea, Juan Matos, Sekou McMiller, and Frankie Martinez.

During his dance career, Andre choreographed for Los Pachangueros, directed and choreographed for DeNovo Dance company, and performed with Alma NYC by Alma Latina. Some of the highlights of his dance career include: performing in an all star tribute to the Palladium Mambo Legends at the 2013 LA Salsa Congress. In 2016 he competed for the first time at The World Salsa Summit with partner Liz Becerra. They placed 3rd in the Rising Star Division and made it to the final round of competition in the Professional on2 division.
