This year’s Fiesta of the Arts will feature programs celebrating Latino culture designed for young families, teenagers, and adults. The aim of this Festival is to entertain and educate the whole East End community. Schedule of activities:
4-6pm Open Arts and Crafts Studio for young children in the Wasserstein Gallery
4-5:30pm Special toy making workshop with artist Aurelio Torres for all ages
4-5pm A celebration of Latin American poetry and art including a special tribute to Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral in the John Drew Theater facilitated by curator Esperanza León and East Hampton High School EFL Teacher Eva Iacono and her East Hampton high school class.
4-8pm ESL Students’ artwork and poetry displayed in the Education Hallway. One student’s work will win Best in Show – to be judged by a panel of artists and curators
5-6:30 Island Empanada Food Truck serving a variety of empanadas for a light supper
6:30pm Mambo Loco to perform. There will be dancing in the aisles!
