A century ago postcards were made of almost eery home that could be photographed between Westhampton and Montauk, including the legendary mansions of the gilded Age. Architect Gary Lawrance, co-author with Anne Surchin of “Houses of the Hamptons 1880-1930,” will discuss the ways in which there postcards served the purposes of homeowners and their value to historians and collectors today. Free admission but space is limited, RSVP by calling 631 283-2494. The lecture begins at 12 noon.
