About the Instructor: “Diana Sobrino has been dancing her whole life. She started taking flamenco classes at 10 years old in Barcelona, Spain her hometown. Latin dances seduced Diana and she decided to train salsa LA style. She entered the company of the five times World champions Adrian and Anita in Barcelona, Spain where they trained her for 3 years. In 2009 Diana competed for the first time and got the third place with her partner David De Menes. Still training salsa, Diana got into Brazilian rhymes and in 2009 she decided to go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where she entered the re-known samba school: Salgueiro. From there, she had the opportunity to be part of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival. In 2011, Diana moved to Miami, Florida. She performed all over South Florida with companies such as Brazilian & Latin Sounds co., UTP entertainment. She also appeared many times on TV (Telemundo, Univision) where she ranked second at Sabado Gigangte – Univision. In 2013 Diana decided to take her chance to New York in order to learn more and also share her knowledge teaching classes. In April 2016, Diana competes and becomes the Samba Princess of New York.”
